Managing IPs
Everything for an ISP proxy plan lives on its plan page in the panel. Open My Plans and select your ISP Proxies plan.
Placing your IPs
Section titled “Placing your IPs”After you purchase, the plan page shows a location picker. ISP proxies cover 120 countries, 1,800+ cities and 900+ ISPs (ASNs).
- Search by country, state, city, ISP name or ASN.
- Set how many IPs you want on each city + ISP (ASN) pair. Each location shows how many IPs are available right now.
- Save. You can place part of your IPs now and the rest later, in as many saves as you need.
A placed IP keeps its city and ISP for as long as the plan is active.
Credentials
Section titled “Credentials”Each placed IP has its own username, like us-new_york-new_york-as701-Ksj25. All usernames on the plan share one password, shown on the plan page. Every proxy connects through the same host and port, isp.shifter.io:443, over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5.
The plan page lists every username with its city and ISP. Use Copy or download the list as a .txt file, in either format:
isp.shifter.io:443:USERNAME:PASSWORDUSERNAME:PASSWORD@isp.shifter.io:443As a proxy URL:
http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@isp.shifter.io:443socks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@isp.shifter.io:443How IPs behave
Section titled “How IPs behave”Each proxy stays in the same city and on the same ISP (ASN) for the whole billing period. The IP address behind it can refresh over time, the same way a home broadband connection gets a new address from its ISP now and then. That is normal residential behaviour, and it looks more natural to target sites than an IP that never changes. Sites check location and network for consistency, and those stay the same.
Testing an IP
Section titled “Testing an IP”Run a connectivity check from your own network:
# HTTP(S)curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@isp.shifter.io:443 \ -w "HTTP %{http_code} in %{time_total}s\n" -o /dev/null -s \ http://ip-info.com/json
# SOCKS5curl --socks5-hostname USERNAME:PASSWORD@isp.shifter.io:443 \ -w "HTTP %{http_code} in %{time_total}s\n" -o /dev/null -s \ http://ip-info.com/jsonA healthy proxy replies HTTP 200.
