The short version

  • Massive returned 131,627 live IPs across five countries, about a third of our own total.
  • Its run was the cleanest in the series: every country answered effectively everything we sent, with 99.8% or better geo accuracy.
  • Average responses of 429 ms to 583 ms make it one of the quicker networks we have measured.
  • France is the weak spot: 2,239 live addresses across 28 operators, an order of magnitude behind its own other results.
  • Pricing is the highest in our series. $4.90 per GB is the Pro tier and the 10 GB entry tier is $8.00.

What we measured

Live IPs each network had answering during the same test window, five countries, identical request volumes and concurrency for both sides.

The cleanest run we have recorded

Massive answered effectively everything we sent it, in all five countries, with geo accuracy of 99.8% or better. Nothing was misrouted and nothing needed retrying, which is rarer than it sounds: several networks in this series lose a meaningful share of traffic or send it to the wrong country.

It is quick too. Average responses ran 429 ms in France to 583 ms in the United Kingdom, putting it among the fastest we have measured, and in France and Germany it was quick enough to edge or approach our own timings.

So the engineering is not in question. What you are weighing is how much pool that buys, and at what price.

A mid-sized pool, and a hole in France

Across five countries we returned 390,093 live addresses against 131,627 for Massive. The United States is its strongest market at 84,827 from 250,000 requests, drawn from 1,138 networks.

France is the outlier. 80,000 requests returned 2,239 distinct addresses from 28 operators, against 49,449 from 147 for us on the identical test. That is not a small gap, it is a different category, and on French traffic at volume the network will start repeating addresses almost immediately.

Germany and Canada sit in between, at 11,995 and 9,699 respectively. Advertised coverage is 195+ countries, but coverage and depth are different things, and depth is what constrains a crawl.

The price is the problem

Massive publishes $4.90 per GB on its Pro tier, the highest best-rate in our entire series. A 100 GB buyer pays around $5.50, and the 10 GB entry tier is $8.00 per GB.

Bandwidth rolling over month to month is a genuine plus for irregular workloads, and there is no long commitment. But at these rates you are paying a substantial premium for speed and consistency rather than for scale.

For comparison, our own published rate is $1.00 per GB at 100 GB and $0.75 from 200 GB, on a pool that measured nearly three times as deep. That is a disclosed commercial interest, and the reason every performance figure above comes from a test anyone can repeat.

Pricing

Plan Traffic Per GB Monthly
Starter 10 GB $8.00 $80
Scaler ~100 GB ~$5.50 ~$550
Pro Volume $4.90 on request

Pros and cons

Pros
  • The cleanest, most consistent run of any network in the series
  • Quick average responses of 429 ms to 583 ms, among the fastest we measured
  • Geo accuracy of 99.8% or better in every country
  • Bandwidth rolls over monthly with no long commitment
Cons
  • $4.90 per GB at best and $8.00 at the entry tier, the highest rates in our series
  • France returned 2,239 live addresses across 28 operators
  • Pool measured about a third of ours across five countries
  • Advertised pool of 1M+ is small next to the rest of the market

Who Massive is for

Buy it if
  • Latency and predictability matter more to you than pool depth or price.
  • You work primarily in the United States, where its pool is deepest.
  • You want traffic that rolls over month to month with no long commitment.
Look elsewhere if
  • You need French coverage at any volume.
  • You are price sensitive at all, given $4.90 at best and $8.00 at entry.
  • You need maximum pool depth for high-volume crawling.

How we scored it

Criterion Weight Score Basis
Live pool measured 25% 3 131,627 IPs live across five countries, against the tested field.
Network spread measured 20% 5.2 1,678 distinct networks across five countries.
Price per GB measured 25% 0.2 $4.90 per GB on the Pro tier. A 100 GB buyer pays around $5.50 and the 10 GB entry tier is $8.00.
Response time measured 10% 9.6 495 ms average across the countries tested.
Country coverage 10% 10 195+ countries advertised, scaled against full global coverage.
Features 5% 7.5 State and city targeting, per-request and sticky sessions, rolling bandwidth and a clean dashboard. No ASN or carrier targeting, and no HTTP3.
Transparency 5% 7.5 Tiers are published and the commitment terms are clear. Marked down because the best rate sits behind a Pro plan quoted on request.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Massive.

It is one of the fastest networks we have measured. Average responses ran 429 ms to 583 ms across five countries, and in France it beat our own timing while in Germany it came within 18 ms.

They advertise 1M+ IPs. Our test returned 131,627 distinct live addresses across five countries, with 84,827 of those in the United States. France returned only 2,239 from 28 networks.

If latency and consistency are what you are buying, and your work is US-centric, there is a case for it. On pool depth per dollar it is the most expensive network in our series, and the entry tier at $8.00 per GB is steep for evaluation.

DataImpulse is quick and costs $1.00 per GB with a larger measured pool. Our own network, Shifter, measured 390,093 live IPs across the same five countries at $0.75 per GB at volume, and led Massive in every country tested.
